The winner of Menulog Best Pizza Award in 2016, Crave Gourmet Pizza & Burger Bar offers a wide variety of delicious pizzas and burgers. Their pizzas are notably prepared fresh when you order them so it may take a while for them to be served but the wait is worth it.
Their Smoked Salmon Pizza was the first pizza we have tasted with salmon being featured and it did not disappoint. The salmon had the right degree of smoked flavour and the baby capers provided a hint of sharpness. A drizzling of hollandaise sauce added a creamy taste that was not too strong.

Compared to the Smoked Salmon Pizza, the base of the Dragon Fire Pizza had a thicker texture. The ground beef and bacon gave the pizza a delectable meaty texture and the jalapenos and chilli flakes provided a spicy punch. The pizza also included corn to balance out the spiciness while giving a bit of crunch.

A good choice for vegetarians, the crumbed mushroom in their Fungi Burger was juicy and set off nicely by the crumb coating. The halloumi cheese did not taste too cheesy and the capsicum added a bit of extra texture to the dish.

We liked that the beef patty in their Philly Beets Burger was succulent with the right amount of "char-grilled" flavour to make eating it an enjoyable experience. The grated carrot and rocket leaves added an element of freshness and the slightly sweet balsamic beetroot relish was a good partner to the beef patty. There was also Philly cheese to balance out the rich taste of the burger.

Their Texas BBQ Burger included a hash brown and onion rings whose crisp texture acted as a good contrast to the beef patty. A unique aspect of the burger was the use of maple syrup to add a sweet taste that was not too overpowering. The red cheddar cheese and smoky barbeque sauce completed the dish.

For something that is a bit more 'normal', The Aussie Burger is a good choice. In addition to the expected lettuce, tomato and pineapple, the burger included sweet pickles to give the burger a bit of a sharp taste. The sharpness was enhanced by the mustard which was balanced out by the tomato sauce and creamy ranch dressing.

Their Shoestring Fries were of excellent quality. They were very crispy and had a moreish taste coming from the sprinkling of herb salt. The Sweet Potato Chips were also enjoyable to eat with the slightly sweet flavour we expected. Served with the fries was aioli for you to add an extra element of flavour.

For a filling side dish, the Bacon & Cheese Loaded Fries is a good choice. There was enough bacon in the dish to give it a delicious smoky flavour and the topping of cheese made the dish a bit similar to a pizza. If you like to enhance the smoky taste you can dip the fries in the barbeque sauce provided.

To complete your meal, Crave offers a range of scrumptious desserts. Served in a style similar to kebabs, the Nutella Nuggets were light and crisp and there was enough Nutella to make eating them a satisfying experience. The strawberries and marshmallows complemented them well but we thought the marshmallows could have been toasted a little to make them more delicious.

Great for those that want a lighter option, the Almond Custard Puff had a fluffy texture and the almond custard filling gave the dish its distinctive flavour. While the sound of a topping of strawberries and caramel sauce may suggest the dish becoming too sweet, they actually partnered well with the custard puff.

If you are a student, you can enjoy a 20% discount on any of their pizzas when you present your student ID card. The décor and wooden tables gave the restaurant a casual feel with a good amount of parking space available on the street where the restaurant is located.
