The Singapore Mini Maker Faire is back for a second year on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July 2013, held at *SCAPE Warehouse in Orchard Road.

The Mini Maker Faire is a two day celebration of DIY culture, this year's event will be showcasing fun projects in science, art, craft, engineering, technology and lots more.
Singapore's very own DIY green craft expert and blogger Agatha of Green Issues will be present on both days of the Mini Maker Faire, demonstrating hands on eco craft workshops, as well as presenting a talk: Upcycle Your Clothes.
Eco Friendly Jewelry Making Workshop
27 July, 2.30 - 4pm
Recycled Eco Jewellery
Get creative by making jewelry from items you can find in your home – fabric and plastic bottles. Participants learn about upcycling, jewelry techniques and take home a necklace and a pair of earrings. All materials are provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own special fabric or bottles to upcycle. Ideal for ages 10 and up.
Restyle Your T-shirt Workshop 28 July, 3.30 - 5pm
Restyle Your T-shirt
Does your t-shirt look out-dated or is the collar worn? Don't throw it away! Restyle it into a trendy top for summer. Participants learn about upcycling, basic hand-sewing techniques, sewing bat sleeves, simple decorating, and take home an updated top. Ideal for ages 15 and up. Participants are to bring a round-necked men's cotton t-shirt (L or XL). T-shirts can also be purchased from instructor at $4.
Upcycle Your Clothes Presentation 28 July, 1.30 - 2.30pm
Getting tired of your wardrobe but don't want to hit the stores? Do you want to get more out of your clothes? You can upcycle / refashion them – taking existing garments and transforming it into something new or another wearable piece. Agatha of Green Issues by Agy will bring along refashioned examples for you to see. You will also get to take home easy DIY tutorials to get you started.
