Victoria's peak body in the region's craft and design scene is on the grow. Home to events like Craft Cubed which encourages greater craft creativity and experimentation in local makers, this outstanding supplier of contemporary craft and design is expanding its retail reach. In addition to selling and exhibiting members' work at its 31 Flinders Lane address in Melbourne and the New Craft Market in Queen Victoria Market, Craft is opening a pop-up shop from 14 September to 11 October.
The ground floor of Melbourne Town Hall will be transformed into a craft emporium with lots of top quality handmade products and art works from over 60 makers in Australia including Yoko Ozawa, Andrei Davidoff, Kris Coad, Anna Davern, Christopher Plumridge, Emma Davies and Anna Varendorff. There are also special installations like giant metal rabbits by Peter Mcliskyby, paper artists Dear Plastic, plant enthusiasts Pop Plant and many more.

To draw the passing pedestrians, 3 yarn bomb installations from Yarn Corner will be located along Swanston Street. Locals familiar with the window display filled with handcrafted goodies at Flinders Lane can also enjoy browsing and shopping at the pop-up store. Craft at Melbourne Town Hall provides a valid reason to spend many a lunch or after-office hour admiring and buying locally made ceramics, textiles, timber, glass and jewellery for yourself or as gifts.
