Craft Hatch Market

Home > Melbourne > Markets
Published August 26th 2009
Craft Hatch is a unique monthly market held in the City Library on the second Saturday of each month. It showcases the work of students and young designers in an intimate, college setting.

Some of the handiwork on display includes; unusual silver jewellery, quirky individually designed brooches, illustrated notepads and colourful felt dolls. Itís a rare chance to interact directly with the designers, ask questions and support their efforts.

The market is conveniently located upstairs in the City library in the College of Adult Education (CAE) in Flinders Lane. Downstairs, is the tempting cafť Journal where the chai latte and Portuguese tarts are well worth a try. While there, pick up the latest copy of the CAE course brochure to see whatís on offer. You can find more information on their courses here.

Just outside are the laneways of Melbourne, lined with trendy cafes and boutiques for a post-market caffeine/shopping fix.
