Hands on and inspiring on the senses
The Craft and Sewing Show is the place to be this weekend to learn new sewing or cake decorating skills, watch demonstrations, stock up on specialist craft supplies or to see fabulous quilts on display.
The Masterchef runner up Julia Taylor will be at The Icing on the Cake stall sharing her baking tips and how to do cake decorating.
This year's theme for the quilting exhibition will be Beneath the Southern Sky'. Approximately 30 beautiful banner style textile works will be on display. There will also be a free floortalk by curator Brenda Gael Smith each day at 12.30pm in the area.

There will be 3 sewing presentations daily, each to inspire you to recycle your old outfits into something new. Learn how to turn a boring tshirt into something more personal. Get inspired with new patterns available for purchase.
If you have an appreciation about patchwork, quilting, scrapbooking, jewellery beading, embellishments, textiles and painting, then feel free to chat to the expert exhibitors who will happily share their knowledge. You will learn something new by the end of the day. Learning to Paint classes are taught by The Society of Folk and Decorative Artists of Victoria and are an additional $15. Ever wanted to make your own Christmas greeting cards or beaded jewellery? Now you can try hands-on under the guidance of an expert. Additional kits can be purchased at respective stalls. There are also embellishment and scrapbooking workshops which require booking. Check out the program guide for more details.
