A few weeks ago, I admitted that I spent a Sunday afternoon at the local bowling club and it was actually by choice. See here . The Cleveland Bowls Club, at 164 Middle Street, Cleveland, recently sold its management and operational rights to the Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club, and along with a refurbishment and a kick into the 21st Century, is now known as the Cleveland Sharks Sports Club.

I previously mentioned the inexpensive $12 lunches and dinners but neglected to mention that The also provides breakfast each Wednesday through to Sunday. Not another breakfast, I hear you mutter. No, not just another breakfast. The Crackerjack specialises in pancakes. There are eight different types of pancakes on the menu including "fluffy golden pancakes, topped with orange, cinnamon, and almonds." How good do these sound?

After being reminded about the pancakes by an aficionado, I recently returned to the cafe to sample the breakfast menu.

My daughter is a vegetarian in an endeavour to counter attack an autoimmune disease. Can I just say that it was just wonderful to find a cafe with a dedicated page of vegetarian options - and that's just for breakfast!

We opted to sit inside to enjoy the warmth of the air conditioning, though in spite of the cool morning temperature, there were some brave souls sitting outside enjoying the fresh air.

The opens at 7am and stops serving breakfast at 11am when it moves into lunch mode.

Did we enjoy the pancakes?

I guess we will just have to return another time to find out, won't we!
