Crab Soup Recipe

This crab soup and vermicelli dish is both absolutely delicious.
It is interesting and fragrant and made with pork bones.


1kg pork bones or chicken bones

200g crab meat
500g vermicelli

spring onion, coriander, mint
fish sauce, seasoning powder, pepper and salt, lemon, chilli

Step 1 :
As students, we have lots of free time. We normally go to catch a crab on sunny day at Thompson beach. Then we go back home and cook.

Wash crabs, steam them and set aside to cool. Remove crab meat from the cooled crab.
Preheat the pan on the stove with a little oil, place crab meat into pan with a little seasoning sauce.

Step 2:
Wash pork bones or chicken bones and boil them in water in a separate pan. Season the soup with a little salt. Continue to simmer for about 40 to 60 minutes. Taste again and add fish sauce depending on your taste.

Step 3 :

Wash and chop onions, coriander and mint into small pieces.

Soak vermicelli until soft, put in a basket to drain. Steam vermicelli for about 3 minutes.

Step 4: Put vermicelli into a bowl, put crab meat on top then put coriander, mint and onions, sprinkle a little pepper.

You can squeeze lemon, add a few slices chilli if you want a sour-spicy dish.

This dish is time consuming, but the result is well worth the effort.
