Like most major events of 2020, the QuiltWest Exhibition has undergone some significant changes this year – but the good news is that the annual exhibition of locally crafted quilts will be going ahead in October.
COVID QuiltWest will be an exhibition of beautiful quilts made exclusively by members of the West Australian Quilting Association. In the event of increased COVID restrictions, the event will become an on-line exhibition.
The exhibition will be held on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October at the Stirling Adriatic Centre at 78 Jones St, Stirling.
The exhibition will also include some stalls for retail therapy, morning tea and light lunches will be available for sale and there will be a special raffle drawn each day with all funds raised in support of Community Quilts.
Community Quilts is a special project of WAQA which sees a large group of volunteers donate their time, skills and fabrics to make quilts for community members who are suffering from chronic illness or significant life challenges.
Entry is $5 and doors will open at 10 am. All are welcome.
