A joint collaboration from Perth Cultural Centre, State Theatre Centre of WA and RTRFM 92.1, and returning for the 5th time, it's your Friday evening chill time sorted with the Courtyard Club's FREE, eight week concert series from 2 Nov to 21 December 2018 at the State Theatre CentreCourtyard, 174-176 Williams Street, Perth. The Courtyard Club is an all-ages event with licensed bar and food options, making it the perfect meeting place to unwind from the working week.
It kicks off on Friday 2 Nov 2018 with four hours of live, local music broadcast on RTRFM and each Friday will be concluded with the tunes of one of your favourite RTRFM DJs. A mixture of some of the city's newest exports like Mal de Mer, Izatang and RAKSHA, plus the songwriting genius of Timothy Nelson will grab your attention before you hang out with Out To Lunch's DJ Girlname, late into the night. In the 2nd week, teaming up with the Perth International Jazz Festival, a very special performance is brought to you from local jazz super group Melve, followed by a paid performance as part of the Festival.
Other entertainment with a little of everything to suit everyone includes the sounds of psyche folk masters Web Rumors, the electronic wizardry of Feels, the delightful and mesmerising Rabbit Island in a special intimate and solo set, more jazz wonders from supergroup Gemma Farrell & Friends, led by the amazing Gemma Farrell on Sax, the jungle boogie of King Cornelius and The Silverbacks and to finish things off on a high note, the afrobeat party vibes of Soukouss Internationale.
