To be enjoyed with the lights turned down and with a glass of good red in hand. dB Magazine.

One of the first things that occurs to you whether you are listening to her husky voice or watching Adelaide singer/songwriter, Courtney Robb perform, is her sincerity and how she draws you in with her fine guitar style with her folk, country and blues influences.

On her new album, In the Dark, which is her third album, Courtney has united with Victorian producer, Tristen Bird to record something new by doing something different by getting away from the studio and recording most of the tracks in an old town hall in the small but quaint township of Harrogate, in the Adelaide hills. Tristen Bird then mixed the tracks at Bird On The Wires Studio in Victoria.

The mastering was by Aria award winning, Givinda Doyle in NSW, who has worked with several world famous international musicians and producers. Doyle recorded and co-produced Angus & Julia Stones' platinum selling Aria winning smash hit Big Jet Plane, which featured on the Aria award winning album of the year Down the Way.

In the Dark features renowned musicians from SA and Vic as Ashley Davis, Nigel Wearne, Steve Temple (Side Show Brides), Emma Woolcock (The Fiddle Chicks), Chris Webber (The Transatlantics, The Shaolin Afronauts), Emily Smith, A.P. D'Antonio and Marta Bayly.

"In the Dark" is a collection of swing and ragtime to country and orchestral ballads. What makes Robb's music exciting is her willingness to experiment with varied instrumentation and arrangements, while her lyrics explore relationships and the changes she experiences.
