Here is this month's round-up of events in the country or outer Adelaide area. November is a perfect time to be outdoors in the lovely weather. Most events in my monthly list are within an hour or so drive to Adelaide and include Barossa, Clare, Fleurieu and the Hills.

Saturday 5th Annual Gawler Rotary Village Fair Venue- Pioneer Park opposite Coles Supermarket at Gawler Central from 9 am to 2pm
This is a great day out if you don't have a car as the park is right near the final train stop in Gawler. This is a huge fundraiser for Rotary with many local businesses supporting the day. There will be a host of food and free entertainment for family fun. Shop for Christmas gifts at over 50 market stalls. You can also find out lots of local community information on clubs and facilities while you are there. This community event has been running for over 40 years.

Saturday 5th Kapunda Mega Garage Sales DayAll day from 8am. Take lots of small change and a tank of fuel for this bumper day out in the country. See my article

Friday 11th 3pm to 8pm. La De Da Market Evanston.Venue- Starplex Fitness Complex and carpark. Evanston.
This market is at a times especially for families to come after school and enjoy and Friday night off from cooking. All activities and stalls suitable for the family and lots of entertainment for the kids. It's a fun family atmosphere to launch the weekend. 12th and 13th November Bordertown Spring Festival and ShowVenue-Showgrounds are Corner Naracoorte Rd and South Tce, Bordertown.
Enjoy old fashioned country fun at this annual show with bikes and cars and sideshow amusements for all the family. The Sunday program will only be for the horse riding events.

Saturday 12th Kapunda Rodeo
Venue- Harness Racing Track, Hancock Road
This twilight rodeo is held every year and is very popular. Entry gates open from 2pm with all the action starting from 5pm. Live music in the evening from band "The Barking Ants" until midnight. See the

Sunday 13th Gumeracha Show and ShineSee
my article here for this great day out in the hills with lots of family entertainment. Walk around and see the display of shiny vintage and classic cars. A perfect day out in our delightful Adelaide Hills.
17th-19th Classic Adelaide Rally
You will need to check the program to catch these rally cars whizzing all around the Adelaide Hills, the Fleurieu and even some city stops. There is a big opening night party in Gouger Street as well. You can view the cars on their designated stops and watch them on the route around the countryside. 18th -20th Burra AGL Country Music Festival
Held over three days with non-stop music. You need to buy a three-day pass ticket for the best value. This event began in 2014 and has a large program. Camping is available if you need it or get some accommodation in town. The not very informative website can perhaps give you more information;

26th-27th Willunga Christmas Tree Festival
Venue- Uniting Church Hall St Andres Street Willunga.
A popular community event with a hall full of decorated trees to admire. Great spot to take the kids or an elderly relative for a little outing. Enjoy afternoon tea and the kids can do the treasure trail. They also do group bookings by appointment during the week. See the

26th-27th Clare Readers and Writers Festival
This is a lovely country escape if you are into all things books and writing. Take some time off and have a weekend to enjoy this wonderful writers festival. Lots of interest for the reader too. Many events at various venues in the Clare area.
