Top country event choices for your February weekends
Saturday 4th February
Murray Bridge Annual Rowing Regatta
Venue- Sturt Reserve.

A great day out sitting by the river under a tree and watching the row boats. This large park has barbeques, toilets and a playground all fronting the big wide Murray River, which looks great at present with high water. And you can also find a bunyip. Take an umbrella or gazebo and sit back and watch the races.

Shannons Sellicks Beach Historic Motorcycle Races

For the first time since 1953, motorcycle racing returns to South Australia's Sellicks Beach. A two-day festival of historic motorcycle racing will be run at Sellicks Beach on 18-19 February 2017. Racing will feature over a hundred motorcycles, all build before 1963.
Tickets are by presale only- see here for ticket sales. There will be no gate sales on the day and tickets are limited. Don't miss out on this unusual event which is sure to be a sellout.

Saturday 18th February
Marabell Bull Ride
Venue- Marabell Showground

This tiny northern town comes alive every year for the rodeo and bull ride events, which have a long tradition in the town. Action starts at 7.30 pm. There are no shops here- only a pub. Head north from Kapunda via Allendale North. I would not suggest this as a family event, however older teens may enjoy it if accompanied by parents. Live music from band Barking Ants. See more info here.

Moana Valentines Market
Sunday 12th February.
Venue- Next door to Caravan Park on the beach.

This market is always on the second Sunday of the month from 9am to 1pm. This month they will be holding a special Valentine's market with lots of sweet treats and little gifts for sale. What a great day out for a drive down to the sea, a stroll in the market and then a stroll on the beach after lunch.
