Visit the countryside for peace and quiet
In the countryside, halfway between Nanango and Kingaroy, there is a delightful place called Beurah. It's a small privately-owned property that welcomes campers and caravaners. Even campers with well-behaved dogs are welcome.

If you love peace and quiet with birds chirping while you soak up the rural atmosphere, this is the place for you. There's a large flat area for the games of cricket and lovely challenging slopes for the children to ride their bikes. Swings for the smaller children and after some good rain, there is water in the stream where you can play. There are boogie boards available for use.

Campfires are permitted when there are no fire restrictions. Firewood is available for sale at $20 for a wheelbarrow load or you can bring your own. There is also a firepit near the camp kitchen.

For non-campers, there is a self-contained cabin with a camp kitchen attached to it. There is an outdoor flush toilet for those who are not self-contained. One major benefit is that it's very safe and secure. You can safely leave your belongings and go out for the day and know they will be there when you return.

For those who like to ride the rail trails, this is a good base for you. The Bunya Mountains with their stunning views and walking tracks are not too far away. Their craft markets are held on the last Sunday of the month. Historical Nanango is also not too far away and their very large market is held on the 1st Saturday of the month.

There are many places of interest in the area including some very good wineries. If this is your passion, you will not be disappointed. During the year, there are several festivals held in various nearby towns. Perhaps your visit could coincide with some of these.
