Want to go to a free party before Christmas? Here is your opportunity to attend the Countdown to Christmas, held at Curtin University Campus in Bentley.
It is being organised in partnership with the Town of Victoria Park, and they are inviting the public, their students and staff to come along to this event and help to celebrate the start of the holiday "silly" season with a free, fun-filled afternoon at the Bentley campus.
There will be a lot to do and events include the following:
A visit by Santa Claus
Kite making and flying
Child's play music
Roaming performers of several types
Bubble play
Face painting
Perth Symphony's Brass Quintet
Arts and crafts activities and workshops
Food trucks
Photo booths
Cheese Cricket
Catch A Candy Cane
Boom Blasters
Spider Ball
Adventure Saucers
Hover Ball Archery
Ladder Golf
Gutter Game
Giant Bubble Blowing
Play Tables and Toddler Tunnels
Sand Art
Magnet making
Christmas Carols by the award-winning Rhythmos Choir
Rhythmos will be commencing at 7.00 pm, performing carols with the Perth Symphony Orchestra's four-piece while "VJ ZOO screen their amazing projections"
Special guests will include:
Ice Imps Stilt Trio
Glacius Xmas Musical Duo
Awkwardstra
Vic Park Swing Shift with special guest Slim Jim (Jamie Mercanti)
Curtin's Makerspace will also be holding a workshop to show you how to make your own Christmas decorations and the Campus Parks and Gardens people will be running workshops to assist you in creating your own magical Christmas garden!
You will also be able to look at the exhibitions at the John Curtin Gallery.

[b]ABOUT THE RHYTHMOS CHOIR**
This award-winning choir of 35 talented musicians and singers will be singing the carols - along with you - and they have recently been invited to sing as part of a massed choir in New York!
They will leave for New York in April 2018 to join singers from around the world to perform as part of the "The King's Singers' 50th Anniversary concert" - and you can see them for free at this event!
This promises to be a great day for young and old alike, so make sure you bring your friends and family to join in the fun. Why not bring along a picnic blanket/picnic to make it more comfortable for this fun-filled afternoon of frivolity and activities.
Organisers are also asking if you could please bring along an unwrapped present to donate to the Parkerville Children's Home. This home has kids that will not otherwise get Christmas presents, and they would be so appreciated! Some of the things they are asking for are:

There will be a collection box under the giant Christmas tree to put your gifts in.

You do not need to register for this event - just turn up on the day (make sure you note it in your diaries!)
For parking, the closest and best car park will be car park D3.
SAVE THE DATE: Sunday 3rd December 2017 from 4.30 pm to 8.00 pm, at The Forum, Dumas Road, Curtin University, Bentley.
The Forum is the grassed flagpole area by the Aroma Cafe.
