Set in a Footscray living room in 1998, this heart-warming, heart-breaking and bizarre story tells the tale of Robert Hazlehurst (Mark Salvestro) who has never moved out of his parent's home, even though they've been dead for years.
Stuck in a holding pattern, nothing has changed. His life is organised by his sister Lisa (Jennifer Piper) and his best mate Lorrie (Luke Styles). She just wants him to find a girlfriend and he just wants him to get 'lucky'.
One day, The Girl (Jessica Lawrence) appears on the couch, asleep. Why is she there? No one knows, because she doesn't wake up. This unbalanced situation has everyone trying to figure out how to keep their balance, which brings about a series of laugh-out-loud moments.
Can this stranger's presence save this family and bring them back to life?
Who takes care of whom when a man who never talks back shares his space with a woman who never talks?
Is the perfect partner someone who takes care of you, and asks for nothing more?
How long will it take for someone to speak up?
Come along and find out, as this Australian comedy examines the subject of grief, family, relationships and love and how we navigate it. Are our words or actions more honest?
