This park is truly the hub of Cotton Tree – it offers a broad river front with safe bathing for learners and littlies. With the swimming complex at one end and only a few hundred meters to the Maroochy surf, all swimmers are catered for. Paddle your own surf ski or hire a windsurfer to skim the water with ease.

Two large playgrounds cater for kids of all ages, heaps of variety and climbs to amuse themselves. Free sheltered barbecues and picnic tables, tall shady trees, a memorial for those who served with easy parking on the Esplanade which also has a wide range of cafes to satisfy our tea, coffee and food desires.

No car? Then it's an easy stroll along the waters edge from the plaza bus station or take the bus if you need. It is a small segment of the
coastal path that runs for kilometers along the coast for cycling or strolling. And if you've squandered too much time in relax mode and need a few groceries before heading home, the renovated Big Top is at the other end. A spot that has it all.
