Located in Maroochydore along the river and Esplanade in Cotton Tree are a couple of popular basketball courts. These basketball courts are a great place to get some exercise whilst having fun and making new friends.

The one problem with these courts is the fact that they are usually being used throughout the day. If you would like one of the courts to yourself, then the best time of day would be to arrive early in the morning. However the popularity also creates a fantastic bonus, that bonus being the fact you will share the courts - this sharing may result in a challenge, either by you or by the other players.

Once you begin to play with others, you begin to meet new people and make new friends. Around the courts are picnic tables and grassland which allows you to rest after your game. Near the area is a car park so there is no long walk before you arrive.

The people that are usually seen playing are usually young but they are nice and friendly. So if you are a beginner these guys and girls will be able to give you a few pointers before your big game. Learn something new whilst keeping fit; learn basketball at the Cotton Tree basketball courts.
