There's nothing like a bit of wintry weather to send us running indoors, and even though the northern beaches is awash with coffee shops, sometimes it's purely the weather that dictates my choice. During the summer, my favourites are the coastal hotspots that also offer a view, but when I want to bunker down inside with a hot chocolate and brownie or three, these 14 (in no particular order) are a few of my favourites. And I love that they all have something special to offer, apart from just great coffee.

Perfect in any weather, and makes the drive all the way to Palm Beach worthwhile. Check out their menu
