Mozart's classic comedy opera Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti is given a spectacular 1950's rock and roll makeover in this premiere production by Emotionworks Cut Opera.
Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti is the tale of four teenagers finding love for the first time and discovering its fickle nature whilst being manipulated by their friend Alfonzo. Innocent love, deception and betrayal all feature in this condensed swinging, action-packed, retro-inspired production.
Take a trip down memory lane and hear all your favourite 1950s hits from the likes of Elvis, Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry, alongside Mozart's beautiful arias and ensembles.
Creator and award-winning director, Julie Edwardson has put together a great young cast of opera and contemporary singers, including Kimberly Coleman, Michael Lampard, Katrina Waters and Pat Macdevitt. Complementing the headline act, Alfonzo and The Rockers with special guest star Despina, are some great swing dancers!
This is opera up close and personal! Wind back the clock to the 1950s and be entertained by Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti at the legendary St. Kilda Lawn Bowls.
