Cos Zantiotis Playing Fields is a popular sport and recreation precinct located in the Gold Coast suburb of Labrador. It is home to several sports clubs and includes 8 touch football fields, a walking track, playground, and club rooms.
The sporting precinct is named after Cos Zantiotis, who recognised the need for quality sports facilities in the area, and there is a plaque located near the main entrance detailing his involvement with the Dodgers Touch Football Club.
The plaque reads:
Cos Zantiotis Playing Fields
Dedicated 28 June 1998
This area of parkland was named after Cos Zantiotis in recognition of his tireless dedication towards the original establishment of a high quality playing field for the Dodgers Touch Football Club Inc.
Since then, Cos has voluntarily maintained this facility as well as contributed to the establishment and maintenance of new club facilities. Cos is held in high esteem throughout the touch football fraternity for his outstanding service to the sport and has been honoured with life membership of the club.
