Manly on Brisbane's bayside is an undiscovered jewel for anyone looking for a holiday destination packed with fun activities, excellent restaurants and a wonderful seaside atmosphere – and without the crowds of tourists.

For our stay in Manly we were extremely fortunate to find the Corporate Beach House. This fully furnished holiday house rental is just one street back from the foreshore boardwalk and ten minutes walk to the Manly Village which is packed with pubs, coffee shops and all manner of restaurants. The Village also contains a mix between chic boutiques and quaint gift shops.

At the we were greeted by Helen the owner who gave us a tour of the house and garden as well as provided us with lots of useful local information. We were given advice as to the best fish cafe, best coffee shop and all kinds of children entertainment options.

The holiday house and garden reflect the 4.5 star accredited star rating that the property has. Whilst the house is not massive it accommodates a family of five with ease. This is due to the good sized bedrooms (two) and the indoor-outdoor layout that makes it feel really spacious.

The fully furnished holiday house was spotless and has just everything that one could need including quality appliances and the ever important bbq on the private back deck.

What also makes this holiday house memorable was the extra effort that Helen had made. This included providing a plentiful supply of the basics essentials that so many other holiday houses stint on. These included spices, oil, tea, coffee, foil, toilet paper and rubbish bags etc.

The bathroom like the rest of the house was immaculately clean and fresh towels were provided.

The beds too were made up with fresh linen. Not having to bring your own bedding and make up beds is really a luxury.

There are a lot of fun activities in Manly. Adults can enjoy the weekend markets, pubs and long walks along the boardwalk with the views across Moreton Bay to Stradbroke Island.

For the children there is a free water play park in Wynnum, a heated swimming pool and the free movies at the park, to mention just a few.

Manly in Brisbane is highly recommended for a wonderful family holiday. If you do decide to stay there, you can't go wrong in booking to stay at the Corporate Beach House which has really reasonable rates starting at $200 a night.
