Freelance writer from Brisbane exploring the city and surrounds to find the best coffee
Published January 25th 2020
Eating out with friends on the weekend is always fun, but it can be a sweaty experience in the humid Brisbane summer. Enter Corner Store Cafe in Toowong.

I had one of the most pleasant alfresco experiences at this cafe over the weekend. Along with having a great seasonal menu and fun vibe, they have cleverly installed delicate misters and fans in their seating area to keep everyone cool in the summer.

Along with this innovative idea, they had nice, comfortable seating, a varied menu and great, friendly service. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

The wait staff took initiative in asking diners what sized serving they would like, they were polite in interrupting conversations and were happy to split bills. Toowong residents, I'm sure, are thoroughly enjoying having such a great cafe, with amazing food, in their local area. I'll definitely be back.
