Corner Cafe is located in Sunnybank, a suburb approximately 16km south from Brisbane's central business district. An easy 20 minute drive from the City, Corner Cafe is conveniently located away from all the hustle and bustle, literally on the corner between two streets on the outskirts of the suburb. Corner Cafe is part of the Cornerstone Living redevelopment, a suburban renewal project undertaken in Queensland.
Can you tell me a bit more about Cornerstone Living?
Cornerstone Living was born from a vision to "enhance modern city living" in the form of a $600 million residential community; the largest suburban renewal project undertaken in Queensland. Cornerstone Living is building a neighbourhood complete with open green spaces, walk and bike paths, a public garden, a community centre, and, of course, a bustling cafe. "Much more than a series of contemporary homes, Cornerstone Living is bringing residents and locals together in an exciting new residential hub."

There is both indoor and outdoor seating available at Corner Cafe. The indoor seating keeps with the green colour scheme of Cornerstone Living, with simple green chairs and benches with black tables. In addition to indoor seating, Corner Cafe also offers two different types of outdoor seating, the first being a large patio on which there are both traditional tables and bar-type tables. The second type of outdoor seating is in the garden area, in the form of picnic tables with giant umbrellas to shield from all weather conditions. With aircon inside and a cool breeze outside, both indoor and outdoor seating options are great choices here at Corner Cafe.

If you couldn't already tell from the photos, yes they are! The only catch is that customers with dogs have to remain in the garden area, in order to keep with council rules and regulations. A giant water bowl is provided for doggy patrons, to ensure they stay well hydrated during their visit - thanks Corner Cafe!
There is a wide range of items available at Corner Cafe, from small snacks in the form of baked goods at the counter, to full-blown meals. Both the breakfast and lunch menus at Corner Cafe is an All Day Menu, served from when the cafe first opens in the morning till 1:30pm, when the kitchen closes. This is the perfect opportunity to grab lunch for breakfast, and breakfast for lunch! There is also a separate menu for kids, in addition to a cabinet full of delicious specials, both sweet and savoury.
The drinks menu is equally extensive, with a range of both cold drinks (e.g. smoothies, iced tea, milkshakes, spiders, sports drinks) and hot drinks (both coffee and T Bar Tea). Coffee is brewed using Di Bella 'Moderna' blend - Corner Cafe offers a reward card system in which you get your 8th cuppa free for every 7 purchased. What are you waiting for? Go get stamping!
My friend and I both opted for 'The Business', Corner Cafe's take on the classic Big Breakfast - eggs, bacon, chipolatas, tomato, mushrooms, hash brown, and halloumi on sourdough. Yum! Corner Cafe was also able to accommodate to my dietary request of taking the yolk out of my fried eggs, for which I was most grateful for. The food was prepared fresh and was pure deliciousness on a plate, with icy cold drinks perfectly complementing the great food.
