Chicken Paprika at Corner 75 Restaurant

Published August 24th 2011
Chicken Paprika or Chicken Paprikash (paprikascsirke), as it is traditionally called, is a delicious Hungarian dish. It is traditionally made with chicken, onions, and paprika sauteed in lard, thickened with sour cream or heavy cream, and served over spätzle (a type of egg noodle). All I have to say is absolutely delicious.

Okay, that photo makes it look absolutely AMAZING!!! I haven't tried it myself. I'm curious as to whether or not it's mild or spicy. My only worry, "sauteed in lard" - sounds quite unhealthy for me, while I'm trying to diet (only reporting treats on here). Also curious if Corner 75 has much more Hungarian food. Nice writing by the way :)

Although the paprika might make it sound spicy it is not spicy at all. I don't do well with spicy food. I will agree that the part about the lard had me doubting it but I had tried it previously and loved it so I new what I was in for. And yes corner 75 is a traditional Hungarian restaurant (well Hungarian and continental ) so it has all the traditional Hungarian dishes. Its really quite impressive. I am in the process of writting a review for the restaurant so be sure to kern an eye out so you can find out more about it :)
