This is the recipe for corn patties, which is a healthy alternative to a regular potato patties. It's easy to make and does not take very long to cook either. Next time you have a burger, try these corn patties instead of a potato one.
Ingredients 3 boiled corn cobs
3-4 tablespoon plain flour 3-4 tablespoon milk a pinch of baking soda 1 tablespoon of thick cream(optional) 2 tablespoon chopped coriander 1 tablespoon of chopped green chilli(optional)
salt to taste pepper to taste oil for cooking
chilli sauce for serving
Serves 7-8 patties
Cooking time 20 minutes
1) Take out the corn kernels from the corn cobs with a sharp knife carefully. Grind them coarsely in a grinder.
2) Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl with the corn.
3) Take a heaped tablespoon full of the mixture, form a pattie
and place it on a non stick pan with some oil on slow heat.
4) Cook till it turns golden brown on both sides.
Now they are ready to eat on their own or in a burger.
