Located inside the heritage-listed building Corfield & Fitzmaurice on 63 Elderslie Street Winton, this museum is full-packed of best things that ever happen in Winton. Discover the nation's most comprehensive display of Australian dinosaur fossils, an exhibition of local opals with mining and gemstone information, a wool industry display and of course, a historical account of Corfield and Fitzmaurice general store.

It requires a small admission fee to enter this museum - $3.00 for children and also concession, $5.00 for adults and $10.00 for family of four.

The itself is full of interesting history. It was Winton's first general store that opened in 1878, has occupied the same spot for over 100 years and served people of the township and pastoral properties until 1987. This store was destroyed by fire in 1916 and was rebuilt. In April 1994, the building reopened as the Corfield and Fitzmaurice - Winton District Historical Society & Museum.

Within the complex is Combo Crafts, which sells a range of handmade crafts, such as attractive pottery, jewellery, and other craft items. It is free to enter Combo Crafts.

Both are open from March to 22nd December each year. Please go to this site for details of opening hours and other information.
