What better way is there to start a weekend in Sydney than with some eating and exercise?

The Bay Run is a 7km route around the Iron cove, passing through a number of suburbs, including Rozelle, Five Dock and Drummoyne. It's popular with runners, walkers, cyclists and pram-pushing, yummy mummies.

After one lap around the picturesque bay, how about treating yourself to breakfast at Copo Café and Diner. It is situated just a short walk away from the Bay Run, at M3, 135 Victoria Road, Drummoyne. It is also conveniently located next to a council car park, where parking is free for a couple of hours.

Copo has an extensive breakfast menu, but my personal favourite is the 'House Smoked Trout Baked Eggs with Creme Fraiche, Herbs and Toast'. Delicious! Breakfast is served until 11.30am and meals will set you back anywhere between $5.20 to around $17.90pp. The staff are efficient and friendly and the cafe seems to be a popular choice. There are often queues out the door on the weekend, but they are usually quick to seat you. It's definitely worth the short wait; however, if you don't want to risk it, you can always book online at their website .

They even have an outdoor terrace on the second floor for you to enjoy breakfast or lunch in the sun.

Even though it is not local to us, we'll certainly be back.
