Completed in October 2022, Copeville's silo art is the latest to join the
South Australian trail. It features a galah and two Clydesdale horses in a country setting represented by stalks of wheat. Although challenging, the project has its rewards when artist
Jarrod Loxton finally painted the long-awaited upper section of the silos. Other smaller structures around the silos have also been covered with paint.
The silos are located on Lalirra Farms land but they can easily be seen from Perponda Road as you're driving past. Please do not try to enter the private property. The road leading to the silos is unsealed, so you'll need to take care and drive to the conditions.
Copeville has nothing much else to offer besides the artwork. For any sort of facilities, your best bet would be to head to the next nearest township. Karoonda, which is only a half-hour drive away, has its own
silo art too, as well as other attractions such as the
Karoonda Shuffle,
The Big Ram and
Karoonda Nature Park.
