These permanent light installations are part of Cootamundra's Festival of Lights

See Cootamundra shine bright as it celebrates with the annual Festival of Lights on 25 March 2023. Set among the magical glow of fairy lights, this is a celebration of live music, outdoor dining, food and drink stalls and country community fun. The festival of lights will be held on Parker Street in Cootamundra (the 'main street' in town).

The event runs from 6pm - 10:30pm and there will be a range of market stalls and restaurants selling food, drinks and more all under the sparkle and shine of hundreds of fairy lights. As well as the fairy lights, the permanent light installations will be giving things a glow-up. Roving entertainers will add to the carnival atmosphere and the music lineup includes Paper Trail and 2022 Golden Guitar winners the Darlinghurst Band. The ever-popular The Young Ones Band will finish the night with a playlist of classics to get you dancing and singing along.

This event is the perfect excuse to hit the road and visit one of Canberra's country cousins - the drive is under two hours and there is a range of accommodations in town including pub rooms, a caravan park and several motels. While you're there, check out the town's vintage and antique trail and soak up some cricketing history.

The Festival of Lights will be held on Parker Street, Cootamundra on 25 March 2023.

The Parker Street light installations are on permanent display with extra lights brightening up the festival.

The Antique Trail and cricket attractions are open year-round - check individual attractions for opening hours.
