Coorparoo Markets

Published October 14th 2020
If you're in the market for handmade goods or secondhand bargains, this outer suburb market is worth checking out.

The Coorparoo Markets are an artisanal offering, running the third Sunday of the month from 9am for the rest of 2020. A mix of creative stalls and pre-loved clothing rack sales will be spread throughout the lanes and lawns of Coorparoo Square (26 Holdsworth Street).

The markets are organised by The Market Folk, a collective aimed at assisting small local businesses, who carefully curate a collection of bespoke, handmade stalls. They will also provide a secondhand clothing rack sale, where shoppers can dig for bargains.

The Market Folk are also responsible for Gasworks Markets, a similar offering in the historic Gasworks development in Newstead. If you are interested in hosting a stall at Coorparoo, you can fill out an application here.

The markets won't be hosting any food or drink stalls, but the options at Coorparoo Square include Beyond the Pale, a craft beer bar, and ninebar kitchen.
