Coopers Brewery's in-house restaurant allows visitors to enjoy a good range of dishes alongside their beers and other alcoholic beverages. It is very popular so booking ahead is advised to ensure you get a table.
As its name suggests, the chicken thigh in their Drunken Chicken Burger was cooked with Pacific Pale Ale, which gave it a distinctive flavour. The flesh of the chicken was juicy and the inclusion of honey added a hint of sweetness. Tanginess was provided by pickled carrots and the spiciness of the tabasco mayonnaise is suitable for most tastes. Served with the burger were classic chips seasoned with pink Murray River salt.

The pizza dough used for their pizzas was made from Coopers yeast, which gave them a flavour different from most takeaway pizzas. The crust was not too tough and had a nice golden-brown colour. The slow-cooked pork belly in the Pork Belly and Jalapeno Pizza had a delectable savoury flavour and was partnered nicely by chimichurri sauce. Jalapenos added a hint of heat. However, we thought the pork crackling topping the pizza was a bit chewy.

The portion size of the Mixed Lettuce and Pickled White Grape Salad was generous and can easily be shared. The lettuce leaves were crisp and fresh, and the pickled white grapes added a burst of sweetness. The hazelnut dressing was not too creamy and had a background sweet taste. Hazelnuts provided a crunchy element to the dish.

Aside from accompanying some of their dishes, their Classic Chips can be ordered as a stand-alone side dish. The chips were crisp and fluffy and the quantity of Murray River salt was not excessive. Along with aioli dipping sauce, the chips came with a lime wedge that can be used to add a hint of sharpness to them.

For our drink, we chose their Ultra Light Non-Alcoholic Beer. The flavour was not too strong and the beer had a nice golden colour. Some of their dishes have recommendations for the beer that best suits them.

The restaurant had a bright and airy feel, with high ceilings and glass ceiling-height windows and doors along one side. Diners have the choice between indoor and outdoor seating. Before or after their meals, diners can check out various exhibits about the history of the brewery and the brewing process. Diners can also enjoy a brewery tour before or after their meals.
