Returning in 2025, the Cooly Rocks On Festival celebrates the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear! Awarded Gold in the Major Festivals & Events category at the Queensland Tourism Awards in 2022, you are invited to come along to check out why the Cooly Rocks On Festival is Australia’s largest and most favourite nostalgia festival.



Proudly presented by Autoglym and famed to be one of Australia’s best Show ’N’ Shine displays, Cooloongatta will take a step back in time as the streets are graced with more than nine hundred awesome cars at the Cooly Rocks On Show ’N’ Shine display. Visitors to Cooly Rocks On will be in total awe when they discover the best hot rods, kustom vehicles and lowbrow art in Kustomville, before wandering through Goodwin Park to get up close, personal and even more nostalgic with a variety of vehicles, scooters and bikes from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. For the die-hard motor enthusiasts, why not take part in this incredible display by showcasing your pride and joy, or perhaps participate in one of two  Car Runs !



Shake, rattle and roll to the best tunes of yesteryear. Cooly Rocks On packs a punch every year with its incredible lineup of some of the best rock ’n’ roll, swing, rockabilly and tribute artists from around the world. In a unique offering, Cooly Rocks On is only one of three festivals in Australia to host an official preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, an Elvis Presley Enterprises sanctioned event, with the winner heading straight to Elvis Week in Memphis. Put on your best dancing shoes and let’s get all shook up!



The cherry on top for the Cooly Rocks On Festival has to be the honouring and celebration of yesteryear’s lifestyle, marking it in style with the Cooly Rocks On Pin-Up Pageant’s classic and rockabilly styles and the Moonlight Swing Dance, a 1940s style shindig that provides plenty of time for attendees to dance the night away. Cooly Rocks On Festival lovers will delight in the newly added Beachside Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance for those wanting to keep their feet busy on the dance floor. But that’s not all! For those of us who love the opportunity to shop, the Cooly Rocks On Festival will be showcasing a fabulous variety of retro goods, vintage finds and memorabilia from eras gone by, with a delightful number of markets along the beachfront.
