Surf, Sun, Music & Sand
The Quiksilver Pro is hosted at Coolangatta, part of the Southern Gold Coast, each year on the famous Cooly Beach. This year will be a little different though. I'd like to introduce you, if you haven't yet heard, of the inaugural event of Cooly Beachfest 2017.

The festival is 5 hours of Surf, Sun, Music and Sand on the northern side of Cooly Beach, event-goers can enjoy some authentic Australian music from performers such as The Rubens & The Beautiful Girls plus much more.

The festival is all ages, licensed and set with the beautiful backdrop of Cooly Beach. Tickets are $59 with the booking fee inclusive for Adults & for 'Grommets' (14 & under) are $45. Your ticket is pretty inexpensive for the 5 killer acts you will see on the day. The headline is Australian juggernauts 'The Rubens', followed by the smooth sounds of 'The Beautiful Girls', 'Dorsal Fins', Bec Sandridge & 'The Vanns'.

Like any festival, music isn't the only reason to put Cooly Beachfest on your calendars. There will also be a plethora of food stalls, alcohol and of course the Quiksilver Pro to enjoy and keep an eye out for.

Although summer may now be over, the Gold Coast is utilising the last of our warm sunny days to its advantage. With thanks to the event's supporters; SurfStitch, Surf Life Saving, Rabbit Radio, EMedia Campaigns & A2A (Artist to Audience), Cooly Beachfest's first appearance is showing a bright future for local Aussie bands and artists to showcase their talents.

The event's venue will be held at Queen Elizabeth Park on the 18th March 2017. The beach and park are opposite the main strand of Coolangatta (it'd be hard to miss!). Tickets can be purchased either online here or they are also available over the counter at Coolangatta Hotel.
