In Summary
This cookbook is all about chili and tasty things to serve with it. As a popular main dish, kids and adults love it. Chili is good for a party. Cook a big pot of chili, prepare some coleslaw and bake some cornbread! Set out some toppings and be creative.
You can make the chili the day before. Tastes even better.
Hold a chili cook-off! Have guests bring their own personal chili and have everyone vote on their favorite.
Chili can be frozen for weeks, so if you have too much chili, you do not have to waste it.
Recipes included are:
The Best Black Bean Chili
Buttermilk Corn Bread Muffins
Saucy Coleslaw Two Ways
Even Hotter Hot Fudge
Watermelon Agua Fresca
In Opinion
Personally, I did not find this cookbook to be very appetizing. Out of all recipes, I liked the best black bean chili, saucy coleslaw and even hotter hot fudge (to pour over ice cream). So, a main dish, side dish and dessert.
I doubt very many kids would like this cookbook. However, there are a few kids out there who like to be different and consume different foods.
I give this cookbook by Lisa Wagner a
4-star rating.
