I am not a big fan of packet cake mixes. I prefer to make mine from scratch, but last week I gave in to my son's pleas to buy White Wings Chock Chunk brownies. He said he would like to make them, so who am I to stop him from becoming Junior Masterchef?
35 minutes later, the brownies were ready and OMG they were incredible! Crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside with chock chunks. As if that wasn't heavenly enough, add a bit of cream or ice cream or both and it is the best comfort food for cold winter days. Remember when you break the brownies apart, all the calories fall out. So enjoy!
We have been back since and bought more packs and junior has recruited some helpers to make these delicious brownies, all you need is:
1 pack White Wings Choc Chunk Brownies 475g 2 eggs 40mL (2 Tbsp) water 60g (1/4 cup) Vegetable Oil
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 30 - 35 mins Serves: 12
Preheat Preheat oven to 180C (350F) or 160C for fan-forced. Grease a 5cm deep x 20cm square cake pan. Line the base with baking paper.
Empty the brownie mix sachet into a mixing bowl. Add eggs, water and vegetable oil. Beat with a wooden spoon for 1 minute until mixture is well combined.
Spread brownie batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan. When cold turn onto a serving plate
