I am an academic and writer living in Melbourne. I love to travel and I also love writing about all the things Melbourne, regional Victoria and other parts of Australia have to offer.
Don't throw it out

If you are like many of us these days and you are concerned about the amount of waste that gets thrown out each day then you may be interested in this event at Queen Vic Market. It's all about how you can reduce food waste and how easy it is to do this.

Cooking with food waste workshop is a cooking demonstration for those of us wanting to reduce food waste. You will work with market stallholders to find out what food they will be throwing away if it' s not sold that day. The food is taken back to the market's demonstration kitchen to show you two simple quick recipes you can do at home with these ingredients. Tasting samples and recipes will be handed out.

Part of the month-long Sustainable Living Festival, the workshop takes place on Thursday, February 7th, lasts approximately 60 mins and is free to attend. See you there!
