The Cookie Box was Melbourne's first artisan chunky cookie shop that caused a bit of a ruckus when it opened in February 2020. You'll find them at 51 Chapel St, Windsor (0424 147 169) and good news, they're still open for takeaways, albeit at reduced trading hours from 10am to 6pm every day except Monday. They also operate cashless, so keep that in mind and take your credit/debit card.
They have evolved with changing times and have announced that they'll be home delivering their delicious cookies from today, Tuesday 24 March 2020, fresh off the press. They're determined to keep all staff employed and owners Gabriela and Rodrigo have come up with a plan. The staff themselves will be doing the deliveries, keeping all delivery fees as well as a percentage of each sale. An amazing gesture in difficult times. So, all you cookie lovers, start ordering, knowing that you're helping someone stay employed, while you enjoy what you may well consider the world's best cookies on first bite.
Place all orders through email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and pay via electronic funds transfer and VOILA, you have cookies at your door! Deliveries will take place within a 10km radius from the store. There is a minimum order of six cookies, as if that's a hard ask, coz we all know we can't stop at one! Choose from The Classic, Triple Chocolate, Vegan, Nutella, Churros, Pistachio, Peanut Butter and Raspberry.
What makes these cookies so incredibly delicious you ask? First of all, only the best ingredients are used. Think the finest Belgian chocolate, real free-range eggs, Australia's best flour and butter and top quality vanilla. Each cookie is lovingly rolled by hand and with a lot of heart and then rests for 48 hours to develop flavour. These cookies are baked fresh daily, so keep up - on Instagram. Suffer no longer in isolation. You know you want to! Get emailing and await your delicious deliveries. Best eaten fresh, however, if you need to, reheat for 12 secs in the microwave or 90 secs in a 200C preheated oven. Can you taste it now?!
