Five beaches, one amazing walk
Five beaches in one?
Boy is this worth doing!
One of the best walks I've ever done, the Coogee to Bondi or Bondi to Coogee walk encompasses some of Sydney's best beaches!
Whether you love to walk, surf, bring your dog for a run, snorkel or just want to kill time, this is an absolutely stunning part of Sydney you must see. You can start the walk at either Bondi beach which has easy public transport to buses and trains or from Coogee, which is relatively less easy to access but one can still drive and park their car.
Breakfast at Barzura cafe in Coogee is highly recommended - there are a variety of vegetarian options too! Not the cheapest cafe around, but epic location with epic views. Situated at a prime spot right at the corner of Coogee beach.
Best of all, the walk is free, you can do it anytime, morning, day or evening, and the walk is not arduous hence anyone can do it at your own pace. Overall, it takes about 2 hours at a normal speed but if you wanted to run it or drag it out by stopping along the beaches and parks, feel free!
The walk takes you along Coogee, Clovelly, Bronte, Tamarama, and finally to Bondi. Each beach offers surf action, beach action, stunning views and a lot more...
You can enjoy a drink or snack at Bondi's Icebergs which has almost become iconic in itself, offering low angle views of the length of Bondi Beach. You can also read about the fantastic work of the Surf life savers of Australia and the history of Black Sunday.
