…was the first thing I did when I got to Sydney.

Whether you are the walking type or not, it's one of the most amazing coastal walks you will ever do and it is close to a big city.

Coogee to Bondi is apparently a famous walk here in Sydney, offering the millions of visitors beautiful views of the various hidden beaches along the coast.

It is about 6km long and takes an average walker about 3 hours. Definitely an easy walk up and down the coast, and it's accessible to everyone.

There are many places to stop along the way if you want to prolong your walk and visit in the area. You can also stop for a swim in any of the beautiful bays.

You will also walk past an amazing view of the area's cemetery, which has the best view in the world; a wide view of the Pacific Ocean off a gigantic cliff.

A few of the beaches are definitely worth a stop.

The walk goes like this:
Coogee to Clovelly – From Coogee you can walk to the first beautiful beach you will see along your way. The beach offers places to eat, drink and rest on the beach.
Lovely views from this point onwards, with a few parks and stops along the way to appreciate the view.

Clovelly to Bronte – This area is apparently great for snorkelling, you will understand why that is when you see the clear blue bay in front of you.

Bronte to Tamarama – Tamarama and a few places around here are the favourite place for surfers, while Bronte is more popular around families and kids.

Tamarama to Bondi – This area has a few steps but all very easy. You get to Bondi which is a famous beach, well known for surfing. It is also the location for the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition. There are many spots to stop for a refreshing fresh juice, or for an 'after walk' snack.

Some do it the other way around, but it's up to you. All the beaches offer parks and resting areas, BBQ and picnic areas, play site for the kids, and even rock pools around Bronte to Bondi.

Of course it is best done on a nice sunny day to appreciate the nice blue bays, but these winter days have been pretty generous, so don't hesitate to go for that walk you always say you are going to do.

This walk is the best coastal walk during 'Sculptures by the Sea' in November each year. Tamarama to Bondi Beach is a photographers delight during this time.
