Beach treat just a ferry trip away
Wishing to escape the crowds on a hot summer's day? Then head to Coochiemudlo Island on Moreton Bay for a great day or short stay away from crowds and a million miles from the real world. Perfect for families and adults wanting a day trip away for swimming, water based actvities or simply to relax.

Affectionately known as 'Coochie' by locals and visitors it is a small island paradise just 40 minutes' drive from Brisbane and a world away from the big city life.

Hire a boat…

Or pick up some local fare from the Coochiemudlo Kiosk or enjoy a latte or hearty meal at the casual and friendly Red Rock Café with views through the she-oak to the passage.

Coochie is a short and pleasant ferry ride from Victoria Point with fares $4.50 each way for adults.

At only 5 square kilometres it is a good walk around the island – on beach and paths – with bike hire available near the jetty.

For further details on the island go to the Coochie Island website and for travelling there check the Coochiemudlo Ferry at the Amity Trader website. No need to book with services every 30 minutes from the Victoria Point Jetty, Masters Avenue, Victoria Point, Qld 4165.
