Event:
Creating smiles for everyone
After a 5 year absence the Novita Children's Convoy for Kids returns to the South Parklands to help celebrate the 75th year of Novita Childrens Services, and the 80th year for the CMV Group.

The 19th Convoy Carnival will be held on Sunday 2nd November from 9am until 2pm and features a family fun day full of fabulous entertainment including jumping castles, Plaster Funhouse, glitter artists and face painters, live performances, a 'Show n Shine' competition and more! There will also be a special guest appearance from Disney Pixar's Cars' Mack the Truck the Transporter!

It is expected that more than 60 trucks of various sizes will register and participate in the Convoy in a bid to raise funds for South Australian children living with disabilities. The trucks will drive a 7km circuit in convoy near Adelaide's CBD returning back to the South Parklands.

Convoy for Kids was started over 20 years ago by Novita and a group of dedicated people from the transport industry and the Lion's Club of Elizabeth, who had a desire to help children with disabilities. One of the most exciting aspects to the Convoy for Kids is the opportunity it offers for children with disabilities and their siblings to experience the 'ride of a lifetime' in a big rig as a convoy passenger.

The needs of children with a disability and their families are broad and complex, which is why events like this are so important. Funds raised will help us to work with children and families as well as develop important infrastructure and implement the latest innovations in clinical practice.

So come on down and enjoy the smiles on those young kids as they get to ride in those large trucks for a once in a life time experience.
