If you're looking for much of a digital presence, you won't find it for this place but if you like old fashioned service and an amazing array of food including Middle Eastern, European, Pakistani, Indian and Persia, as well as some great local products, the Continental Grocer in Gungahlin is a fabulous place to shop.

Packed full of surprises, you can stock up on spices, nuts and fresh fruit and vegetables. There's also a huge selection of both shelved and frozen and grocery staples. The prices are very (VERY) reasonable and the variety of products and options of choice within product types means you can find what you are looking for at a quality and price to suit your needs.

The Continental Grocer has an on-site halal butcher which offers both plain meat and flavoured meat (tandoori chicken etc), so you can get what you need to make an entire meal.

The best bit of all is the bakery - with changing varieties of fresh-baked cakes, slices and more, this is a little corner of heaven right in Gungahlin. The cinnamon cake, in particular, is next level but they're all amazing!

Each time we visit, the service is friendly and helpful (and anywhere that kids get a free lollypop scores bonus points because it makes the shopping experience that much more pleasant!). Whether you have a specific recipe in mind or you'd like to wander and see what you find, the Continental Grocer is sure to have something delicious ready and waiting for you.
