Feel like you're in Europe without leaving New Farm
The Continental Cafe
Offering European style dining, the Continental Cafe is a New Farm favourite.

One of the longest standing restaurants in the area, the Continental Cafe has been located in the heart of New Farm for over twelve years. Its popularity and longevity are a result of the superb food as well as the unique European style dining experience customers have come to expect. The restaurant is lively, open and warm. For these reasons, my family and I frequently dine here on Friday nights.

The dark wood and open kitchen create a warm and inviting cafe atmosphere that always reminds me of being in France.

The menu of the restaurant caters to anyone who loves well prepared comfort food, and also to those who are more adventurous. Dishes such as the braised rabbit pappardelle and the slow braised veal are sure to please those who crave the flavours of Europe, and the twice-baked goat's cheese souffle is always outstanding. My husband and daughter frequently order the continental beef sausages, which are made in-house and served with mashed potatoes and roasted tomato.

Continental beef sausages
Beautifully presented and even better tasting, the house-made continental beef sausages are a favourite of my family.

Children are also well catered for at the Continental Cafe. Rather than offering the usual boring and unhealthy options that parents have come to expect, children are treated to dishes that are prepared with the same quality and attention given to the adult menu. Even better, children eat free before 6:30.

Spaghetti bolognese
My daughter always orders the spaghetti bolognese. It is flavourful and beautifully presented, showing children that good food isn't just for the grown ups!

The restaurant has three function rooms that offer large groups a beautifully decorated and private space in which to celebrate or meet. The rooms are closed off from the rest of the restaurant, creating a relaxed and intimate feeling. The three special menus for large functions have a wide selection of choice, ensuring that individuals can pick their favourite dishes.

Hold a birthday party or any special occasion in one of the three private dining areas.

I highly recommend the Continental Cafe to anyone looking for quality food that is expertly prepared and presented. Open for lunch and dinner every day from 11:30 until late, this restaurant should not be missed.

Kids eating free is a good deal. The sausage dish looks beautiful. It's great that they used beef instead of pork for a change.
