The April school holidays are going off with a bang at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA).
Discover a brand new exhibition, The National 2019: New Australian Art, and get hands-on with some fun collaborative art-making activities!
Take a sonic adventure through The National 2019: New Australian Art, an exciting exhibition which showcases the work of 24 Australian artists from major cities, regional areas and remote communities. Visitors are invited to take a closer look (and listen) to the many artists in the exhibition who use sound to express their ideas.
Then it's your turn to get creative! Head to the Creative Studios and MAKE SOME NOISE as you collaborate with family and friends to create experimental soundscapes and unconventional instruments.
And if that's not enough for your eardrums, stop by our pinball arcade and play with a bunch of amazing interactive pinball machines created by sound artist extraordinaire, Lucas Abela.
But wait, there is more!
On Sunday 14 & Thursday 18 April, keep an eye out for special family tours led by the Kids Committee and on Wednesday 17 April, Lucas Abela himself will talk about his art and love of experimental sound.
This interactive and inspiring program has been designed for children ages 4 years and up and their grown-ups to collaborate together.
