The light rail is $1.25 for a one-way fare and travels down Main Street from Downtown to the Museum District. It is a short walk to the Arts Museum from the stop.

The Arts Museum is a steel parallelogram with exhibits on two floors. The Brown Foundation Gallery is on the entry level, and the Zilkha Gallery is in the basement. There is a permanent collection, and artworks from young, emerging and established American and international artists.

Staff at the front desk are happy to provide details about the current and upcoming exhibits, and entry is free. The Arts Museum is funded through donations, memberships, and an annual gala and art auction.
