'Containment Fields' is a group exhibition held at the new COMA Gallery location in Stanley Street Darlinghurst.

An art gallery presents work to inspire, educate, motivate, create thought and emotion. Some gallery spaces can transform and bring you into a different perceptional reality that changes some aspect of your world.

With 'Containment Fields', COMA Gallery has created the backdrop for a range of varied art forms and perceptions to engage and transport the viewer into worlds within our world and beyond our own.

'Containment Fields' brings to COMA Gallery a group of amazing artists. Through the eyes of these artists, 'Containment Fields' brings to its audience a discourse on the "states of transition or modes of restraint". Examining and "conditions of holding during these transitory periods whether physical or otherwise".

See through the eyes of Anna McMahon and her untitled works in the 'Holding My Breath' collection. Take in Jelena Telecki work Flags and observe how she works to bridges the arts of sculpture and paint in her work.

Sense, see and experience Spence Messih's presentation - RE-RE-RE, 2018 powderworks steel. Spence is a well exhibited Sydney Artist. RE-RE-RE, 2018 an enigmatic minimalistic sculpture that brings what may seem to be abstract objects into the world of meaning or between abstraction and meaning. Spence adds stories to his work that bring seemingly inanimate objects into life.

Manuel Burgener, a Swiss artist who like to explore the elements of materials used in many ways with installations, objects and mages "appearing unfinished."

Adam Stone brings his Garden of Eden Sculpture and Andre Hemer's Day Painting graces us with their presence.

"Containment Field seeks to explore these points of uncertainty and reveal the sense of freedom that comes with potential resolution." Like a ringmaster, the curator has created a space that these works can be seen, felt, heard and processed by the viewer.

This group exhibition leads you through various forms of art and tells stories that are far beyond just the craft of each work. Each artist brings with their work representations of these points of uncertainty.

Yet, Containment Field sees "the end result of an idea is considered less important while the turbulent process and inevitable rumination on the road to success is laid bare for the viewer to confront and eventually question the substance within."

Enjoy. COMA Gallery brings the arts in Sydney to a great point between art for the art of it and commercial artworks. Make a visit to COMA and experience Containment Field or any of the awe-inspiring exhibitions they have over this current year.

Each of the artists in Containment 'Fields' has extensive portfolios, having worked internationally with great regard in their fields. Look out for their works.
