The alleyways of Lonsdale street will become a catwalk on Friday, 28 March, from noon-2pm. The fashion show and a pre-loved fashion sale will be part of the cultural program at Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Fitted for Work is a not-for-profit organisation which assists women experiencing disadvantage to step out of disadvantage and into work.
The Conscious Closet presents Melbourne's first Street Strut, with all proceeds going to support Fitted for Work.
Unique looks from out of the Conscious Closet's pre-loved and new designer collections will hit the streets, and a few of the impressive bargains will be available in the all-day pre-loved women's clothing sale on Friday 28th 11am-7pm and Saturday 29th March, 11am-3pm.
If you miss out on the Street Strut, head down to the Conscious Closet on the last weekend of any month. When the Conscious Closet receives donations of clothing that are not work appropriate, they offer it at bargain prices in their monthly boutique market sales: "Clothing, accessories, handbags and shoes from brands such as Carla Zampatti, Jigsaw, Scanlan & Theodore, Perri Cutten, Alannah Hill Veronika Maine and many more will be on sale, with prices starting at $2." Your support goes towards the free services and programs that have already helped 10,000 women in our community transform their lives by securing and maintaining employment.
