Emerging Artists Exhibit at The Atrium, Federation Square
The State Trustees Connected Art Exhibition was established in 2003. Their goal is to showcase and celebrate the work from emerging artists with a disability or an experience of mental illness. Several mediums are used by artists and these include digital arts, photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, print-making with poetry, ceramics and multimedia techniques making each exhibition unique in presentation. This year State Trustees Connected Art Exhibition celebrate their 16th year of work.
The Exhibition will run from Friday 19th October through to Friday 26th October 2018 from 10.00am to 6.00pm daily. This is a free event and no bookings are required. Location for the exhibition is The Atrium at Federation Square on the corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets, Melbourne.

There will also be a celebration event at Deakin Edge, Federation Square on 23rd October 2018 from 12:30pm to 2.00pm. Anyone wishing to attend this event, please register here. At this event, first, second, third and OPA prize winners for 2018 will be announced. Rudely Interrupted will be present with a special musical performance.
The prizes following are judged by a panel selected by the exhibition's curator, No Vacancy Gallery. No Vacancy Gallery is a Melbourne-based hire-gallery who is dedicated to showcasing a broad range of mediums, solo exhibitions, art markets, launches and one-off events. They provide a link between the artist and commercial art world.
First - $1000 plus a 2-week exhibition at No Vacancy Gallery in 2019
Second - $500
Third - $250 and an
Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) Prize of $500.
