The second edition of the Book Fair "Confluences" will be held from the 6th to 9th of March 2014 at
Swami Vivekananda International Conference Centre at Pailles.
An initiative of the cell culture and future of the Prime Minister's office, the fair aims at bringing together writers from different backgrounds on a land where different cultures confluence.
he annual fair is the ideal opportunity for authors, publishers and literature lovers to meet and share ideas during seminars, conferences, debates, workshops and forums.
This year, the Book Fair will receive Ségolène Royal, a well-known French Politician and vice-president of the Socialist International, who will be launching her new book, "Cette Belle Idée Du Courage" during the opening ceremony. The public in general is invited for her book signing session.
The audience will also benefit from the presence of other foreign authors from France, UK, India, China, Togo, South Africa, Burundi, Cote d'Ivoire, Madagascar, Reunion and Rodrigues.
Among the Mauritian authors, we note the presence of the well-known Ananda Devi, Lindsey Collen, Alain Gordon-Gentil, Sedley Assone and many others
Workshops, Youth reading of stories, poems and legends, a film projection of
"The children of Troumaron", a slam competition as well as a dance show will also entertain the public.
