Not your traditional car show
A departure from the usual car shows those with beautiful gleaming cars spend days preparing their pride and joy to display in return for the oohs and aaahhs of appreciative onlookers and gleaming trophies, the Concours d'Lemons Down Under is touted to be the world's worst car show.
Held at the Torrens Parade Ground, King William Road, Adelaide (behind Government House) on Saturday 28 September 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm, the 3rd Annual Concours d'Lemons Down Under will be a car show of the odd, weird, rare and just plain un-loved of the automobile world.
There will be rust buckets, hoopties and cobbled together kangaroo karts a plenty, all sharing the Parade Grounds with Billetproof Down Under, a gathering of traditional style hot rods, customs, lead sleds, choppers, café racers and old skool drag cars.
Entry is free for registration and spectator entry. If you have a traditional style hot rod, custom, lead sled, chopper or café racer built before 1965, as well as drag cars, classics and street machines built before 1980, why not come along and display your vehicle for the admiration of others at Billetproof Down Under. Registration is required before 22 September 2019.
If your ride is more in the odd, weird, rare and just plain un-loved category, then register to display at Concours d'Lemons Down Under by 22 September 2019.
Organisers have promised that they have been to all of the best thrift shops and sourced the very cheapest and tackiest trophies to award the whackiest categories and have assured that bribing the judges is allowed and encouraged.
Thanks go to Shannons Insurance for their support. If you are driving your beast to the show ensure you give them a call!
